I have worked in the English corner for one year. I am very happy to be teaching students here because it is a good place for me to advance my English skills, while helping other students who are learning English as well. I am outgoing, responsible and get along well with my students and co- workers. The English Corner is trying to construct an English immersion environment for students to practice their speaking ability. Furthermore, the English Corner usually holds a lot of parties and activities, which provide students with a-new learning experiences of authentic the American culture.

The best lessons for helping students increase their English abilities begins with not being shy. If you can not overcome your psychological barrier to communicate with exchange students, I highly recommend you to join the activities held by the English Corner or make an appointment with the local tutors. I believe you will make great progress in your English abilities.

I like giving my students articles from newspapers. They can learn practical vocabulary and practice their writing skills just from reading. I also teach my students authentic colloquial style by watching movies. I think this method increase student’s learning motivation and interest. My goal is to give my students abundant English materials for them to perfect their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
