It’s nice to have this chance to hang out with foreign exchange students. For a lot of Taiwanese students it’s hard to have this chance. As young folks like us, we don’t usually hang out with our friends like Sheng Keng, which for us is more like a place all around with that old fashioned stuff. But this time we had a lot of interesting things over there.
When we arrived at our destination, it’s about time for lunch. Peter, the director of Language Center treated all of us to a feast of famous local foods. The particular one is the best well-known local cuisine in Sheng Keng- ‘’stinky tofu’’, and I knew everyone enjoyed the food because of how fast the food was gobbled up.
Finishing the meal, we strolled around the streets. Sheng Keng is just like an old town where our parents might have lived; there are so many retrospective-feeling things with their childhood memory, like traditional sculpture, Chinese-style painting and DIY candy floss, etc.
In this trip, every one of us had a lot of fun. Seth bought his grandmother two bowls that carved "聚寶盆", which means something contains a lot of good things. He thought his loved grandma would probably like them. These souvenirs also represented the unforgettable memories of his stay in Taiwan. At last, we had some Tofu ice cream, drawing our superb trip to an end.
